“My experiences and research at the paper maker’s workshop at the edge of the forest have led to new prints based on forest edges and ‘forest bathing’.
The Japanese concept of ‘Shinrin-yoku (森林浴) (forest bathing) is a form of therapy in which the senses are exposed to the forest atmosphere to improve health’ (Wiki). I thought it would be nice to consider the artwork itself as a forest bathing location.”
The paper was developed in collaboration with Mark de Weijer. He works with Japanese principles of paper making.
