In 2020, Valère Wittevrongel expanded his repertoire beyond his very dark Shadow sides paintings to include geometric abstract works in dark colors, as before, but with brighter, more colorful accents. The underlying color is always red. This red is important. Underneath the dark layer of paint, the red is still present and affects the perception of the bright green next to it.
