Milly Betten
Milly Betten creates colorful paintings based on the Frisian landscape of the north, near the Wadden Sea, where she lives. Like this one, titled Handstraat, “Hand street”, she painted several new works in 2022/2023 about roads (“Nieuwe wegen”). Their literal meaning is clear, but there is also another, hidden meaning to be discovered.
