Marian Bijlenga
Marian Bijlenga is best known for her compositions of textile or fish scales with horsehair. “Drawings” in an open construction. Marian Bijlenga ColorCube 59 is a new work, made of colorful textile stitching. Because the work is mounted at some distance from the wall, light and shadow play an important role. The shadow on the wall completes and enlivens the image, giving the work a spatial character with a sparkling appearance.
