Breuklijn
Hein van Delft:
“During the first Lockdown, my studio was supplemented with the long-coveted sawing machine to allow me to experiment independently.
First I was able to finish two earlier works with strips of birch bark 8mm wide.
I liked that and it became the prelude to these small works in the series ‘Breuklijn’, fracture line, with birch plywood, birch bark and peat.
The title refers in space and time to the transition in which the earth and society currently find themselves and whose meaning is slowly beginning to be realized by me.”
