Frank van Ansem brings the beautiful colors of lacquer paint together in unexpected combinations. His painted wooden objects appear simple, but are sophisticated constructions. Different colors on each side balance each other. The main color in this work is orange, surprisingly contrasting with the bordeaux in the indentation, the gray sides and the green bottom.
