Grouped in space, the round forms gently choose position. Yumiko Yoneda places her sculptures at balanced intervals, characters in a composition. She forms her objects out of unpretentious polystyrene, which she gives a tactile skin of plaster and modeling paste with her fingertips. Round and oval but not purely symmetrical, the white sculptures are both delicate and characterful. They exude tranquility, are introverted yet open.
