About the Mini M.R. bag series

Miranda Rikken creates her objects from basic materials frequently used in everyday life: mdf, black cotton, pur foam, bamboo stick. The aluminum labels, the colors and the checkerboard pattern are a reference to the TB bags. The works are a twist on the TB bags of the luxury fashion brand Thomas Burberry.
The absurdity of our consumerism is an underlying theme.
