About Jurjen Ravenhorst, who is a real magician on the lithographic stone. He has developed into a master lithographer since studying at the KABK in The Hague (1982, cum laude). 

“A jury report once described my work as: ‘…sparse figuration in an abstract gesture’. Small recognizable visual elements have long been present and are typical of my work. In the last years these forms have become more abstract. The many ways and materials with which one can work on a lithographic stone offer an endless array of possibilities and invite the creation of a world of abstract objects, grids and patterns.”

Jurjen Ravenhorst creates not only stone prints but also other graphic work, paintings and objects.
