About Antón Hurtado

Antón Hurtado walks the landscapes of Navarre and the Basque Country, where he lives, and captures them in watercolor. In his studio, he shares his abstracted memories.

Walking is being on the road. Traveling. For Antón Hurtado, painting is like walking. It is about the journey, about the looking, the movement, the making. Form and color, space, light, climbing and descending, on and on.

The goal is not the destination.
